I live just northwest of Albuquerque in the village of Los Ranchos, very near the Rio Grande. According to the sign along the road, the old Historic Route 66 cuts right through the village, a couple hundred yards from my house!I'll probably do a little of everything during the "Route 66 On the Air" event, but I hope to focus on the WARC bands from home (with high power and decent antennas) and will try to do some QRP CW mobiling along the actual Route 66 (because "mobile" and "Route 66" just seem to go together).
